करवा चौथ की पौराणिक कथा /कहानी

बहुत समय पहले की बात है एक साहूकार था जिसके सात पुत्र थे और 1 करवा नाम की पुत्री थी। सातो भाई अपनी बहन से अधिक प्रेम करते थे,  यहां तक कि वह खुद खाना खाने से पहले अपनी बहन को खाना खिलाते थे और बाद में स्वयं खाते थे। एक बार उनकी बहन ससुराल से अपने मायके गई हुई थी।

शाम के समय जब  सभी भाई घर आए तो देखा उनकी बहन बहुत व्याकुल थी। और सभी भाई खाना खाने बैठे,  उन्होंने अपनी बहन से खाना खाने के लिए  आग्रह करने लगे तभी उनकी बहन ने बताया कि  उसका आज करवा चौथ का निर्जल व्रत है और वह खाना सिर्फ चंद्रमा को देख कर उसे अर्घ देकर ही खा सकती हैं। उस समय पर चंद्रमा निकला नहीं था इसलिए वह भूख प्यास से व्याकुल हो उठी थी।

छोटे भाई को अपनी बहन की यह दशा देखी नहीं गई तो  सबसे  छोटा भाई दूर पीपल के पेड़ पर एक दीपक जला कर चलने की ओट में रख देता है। दूर से देखने पर ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि जैसे चतुर्थी का चांद निकल आया हो।

इतना करने के बाद भाई अपनी बहन को बताता है कि चांद निकल आया है, अब तुम उसे अर्घ देने के बाद भोजन कर सकती हो। बहन खुशी के मारे सीढ़ियों पर चढ़कर चांद देखने लगी और उसे अलग देकर खाना खाने बैठ गई थी।

 जब वह पहला टुकड़ा में डालती है तो उसे छींक आ जाती है,  दूसरा कौर मुंह में डालती है तो उसमें बाल निकल आता है,  इसके बाद जैसे ही तीसरा टुकड़ा मुंह में  डालने ही वाली होती है कि उसके ससुराल से उसके पति की मृत्यु का समाचार उसे मिलता है। जिसे सुनकर वह बौखला जाती है।  

 करवा की दशा देखकर उसकी भाभी उसे सच्चाई से अवगत कराती है कि उसके साथ ऐसा क्यों हुआ। करवा चौथ का व्रत गलत तरीके से टूटने के कारण देवता उससे नाराज हो गए और उन्होंने ऐसा किया।

 जब करवा को सच्चाई पता चली तब करवा ने निश्चय किया कि वह अपने पति का अंतिम संस्कार नहीं होने देगी और अपने सतीत्व में उन्हें पुनर्जीवित करेगी। वह पूरे 1 वर्ष तक अपने पति के शव के पास बैठी रही, उसकी देखभाल करती रही,  साथ ही उसके ऊपर उगने वाली सुई नुमा घास को एकत्रित करती  जाती है।

1 साल बाद जब फिर करवा चौथ का दिन आता है,  उसकी सभी भाग्य करवा चौथ का व्रत रखती हैं। जब सभी भाइयों से आशीर्वाद लेने आती है तो वह प्रत्येक भाभी से “यम सूई ले लो,पिय सुई दे दो, मुझे भी अपनी जैसी सुहागिन बना दो” का आग्रह करती है। परंतु हर बार भाभी उसे अगली भाभी से आग्रह करने को कह कर चली जाती है।

इसी प्रकार जब छठे नंबर की भाभी आती है तो करवा उससे भी यही बात बार आती है, तभी उसकी भाभी उसे बताती है कि सबसे छोटे भाई की वजह से उसका व्रत टूटा था उसकी पत्नी में ही शक्ति है कि वह तुम्हारे पति को दोबारा जीवित कर सकती हैं। इसलिए जब वह आए तो तुम उसे पकड़ लेना और जब तक वह तुम्हारे पति को जिंदा ना कर दे उसे मत छोड़ना, ऐसा कह कर चली जाती है।

अंत में जब सबसे छोटी भाभी आती है तब करवा उनसे भी सुहागिन बनने का आग्रह करती है, लेकिन वह टालमटोल करने लगती है इसे देखकर करवा उन्हें जोर से पकड़ लेती है और अपने सुहाग को जिंदा करने के लिए कहती है। भाभी उसे से छुड़ाने के लिए नोचती है खचोटती है लेकिन करवा नहीं छोड़ती है।

इतना कुछ करने के बाद उसकी इस तपस्या को देख कर भाभी उसके पास जाती है और अपनी छोटी उंगली को चीरकर उसमें से अमृत उसके पति के मुंह में डाल देती है। करवा का पति तुरंत श्री गणेश-श्री गणेश कहता हुआ उठ बैठता है।  

इस प्रकार प्रभु की कृपा से उसकी छोटी भाभी के माध्यम से करवा को अपना सुहाग वापस मिल जाता है।

If the younger brother does not see this condition of his sister, then the youngest brother lights a lamp on the Peepal tree and keeps it in the hood to walk. Looking from a distance, it seems as if the moon of Chaturthi has come out.

After doing this, the brother tells his sister that the moon has come out, now you can have food after offering it to him. The sister climbed the stairs with happiness and started watching the moon and after leaving it aside, sat down to eat.

 When she puts in the first piece, she sneezes, when she puts the second mouthful, hair comes out in it, after this, as soon as the third piece is about to be put in the mouth, the news of her husband’s death comes from her in-laws’ house. He gets it. Hearing this, she gets shocked.

 Seeing Karwa’s condition, her sister-in-law informs her of the truth as to why this happened to her. Due to the wrongly breaking the fast of Karwa Chauth, the gods got angry with him and they did so.

 When Karwa came to know the truth, Karwa decided that she would not allow her husband to be cremated and would revive him in her chastity. She sat near the dead body of her husband for a whole year, taking care of him, as well as collecting the needle-like grass growing on him.

 After 1 year, when the day of Karwa Chauth comes again, all her luck keeps the fast of Karwa Chauth. When she comes to seek blessings from all the brothers, she urges her sister-in-law to “Take yum Sui, Piya sui de deo, make me a married woman like you”. But every time the sister-in-law leaves asking him to request the next sister-in-law.

 Similarly, when the sixth-ranked sister-in-law comes, the same thing comes to her, only then her sister-in-law tells her that her fast was broken because of the youngest brother, only his wife has the power to revive your husband. can. So when she comes, you grab her and don’t leave her until she makes your husband alive, she goes away saying that.

In the end, when the youngest sister-in-law arrives, Karwa urges her to become a honeymoon as well, but she starts procrastinating. Sister-in-law tries to get rid of him, but does not leave Karwa.

After doing so much, seeing her penance, the sister-in-law goes to 25 and after cutting off her little finger, pours the nectar from it into her husband’s mouth. Karwa’s husband immediately gets up saying Shri Ganesh-Shri Ganesh.

In this way, by the grace of the Lord, Karwa gets back her Husband through her younger sister-in-law.
